Assignment 2 : Collect material
Oh, how a long post it will be…
Brave soul, if you don’t feel like reading such a long and media-rich post, I suggest you pass your way and head for greener pastures…
Okay, still here ? Let’s start then…
First, let’s see the media I gathered about my future professional goals.
There is a YouTube video, that presents an interesting technique on how to make Flash websites with traditional material like paint and clay objects. The final website can be seen here also. It’s an interesting video, also the music is nice and peaceful. There isn’t much talk, I’m afraid…
Then there’s an audio file (podcast) presenting various technology and IT news, well, at least these were news when I researched the subject. Now a bit old, but still funny, and very long ! The speakers are clear, though, so it’s not very difficult to understand.
And finally, a website that’s very interesting, Lokesh Darak’s one : It offers a nice (and famous) JS-based framework allowing one to display images in “modal windows”, taht is, without leaving the current window, from a thumbnail. This is very useful when doing art galleries and portfolios.
Wow, still with me? I’m afraid there’s more, my friend, so you may not rest yet…
Let’s talk about my personal interests, then.
The video I found on the topic is of an amazing artist who can do beautiful images (of cars) with only MS Paint. For me, who know how difficult it is to do such a thing, it’s truly an amazing piece. Again, not that much talk. None, in fact…
The podcast is about computer security, which is interesting too, and pertains to computer science and IT too, and interests me in a more personal way since I’ve developed my own encryption software in the past. Here is the link…
And at last, the link I’ve decided to select points to one of my favorite artist’s gallery on deviantArt.com, a huge and heavily popular website where one can safely publish his/her artworks and get feedback on them, even sell them (if they’re good, that is…) !
Now, it’s done ! You can safely put back your glasses and relax ! I hope you enjoyed the read…

hum…
I think I’ll made the shortest comment of history (but the first on this blog, so it’s cool ^^ )… I’ve NOTHING to say … I’ve read your “huge” text, and I like your videos (especially the MS Paint video)… But I’ve nothing to say about your english; and if it were the case, I think it would be funny, as if a comic book found itself more intelligent than an encyclopedia…
